Terms of Service
By downloading or using the Out of the Woods mobile app (the "App"), you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Out of the Woods is published by [REPLACE WITH PUBLISHER NAME] ("we", "us"). Contact: [REPLACE WITH CONTACT EMAIL].
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any device you own or control, subject to these terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the App.
In-app purchases
The App sells two kinds of virtual goods:
- Candles — a consumable currency used to reveal hints. Candles have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not refundable once granted except under the App Store / Google Play refund policies.
- Lantern Keeper — a one-time unlock that removes interstitial ads and grants a starter bundle of candles. This entitlement is tied to your App Store / Google Play account and can be restored on reinstall via the "Restore Purchases" action in the shop.
All payments are processed by Apple or Google. Refund requests must be made through them: Apple's Report a Problem page for App Store purchases, or Google Play's refund policy.
Ads
The App shows rewarded-video ads and interstitial ads, unless you own the Lantern Keeper unlock (which removes interstitials). Rewarded videos are always optional. See our Privacy Policy for what data ads may collect.
No warranty
The App is provided "as is". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or US $20 if you paid less.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll surface a notice in the App the next time you open it. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [REPLACE WITH JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
